Disneyland Park is Transformed into a Ghost Town to Celebrate the Magic of Halloween

“What could be spookier than an abandoned theme park,” executives at the Walt Disney Company mused as Disneyland remained closed for its seventh month. Disneyland Park has been home to many Halloween classics over the years, such as Haunted Mansion Holiday and the ever-popular Mickey’s Halloween Party. This year, to celebrate the spooktacular season, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts will leave Disneyland park closed, transforming the world’s most beloved theme park into a creepy place absent of human life.

“Keeping the theme park closed is the most terrifying thing we could think of,” said Josh D’Amaro, Chairman Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products. “We want to thank California Governor Gavin Newson for his support, as this wouldn’t have been possible without him.”

If Disneyland guests could visit the park they would see frightening sights such as Main Street USA with every store shuttered, a post-apocalyptic Tomorrowland where humans are not part of the future, and Adventureland where animatronic animals are the only sign of life.
